Peugeot 207 CC Car Won't Start Inspection

Thanks for your feedback and I’m sorry you felt the need to change your positive feedback to a negative one. The vehicle was in a non start state with the engine turning over very slowly,
a diagnostic test was carried out with no faults showing. The starter motor had burnt out from someone continuously trying to start the engine. It was made very clear to you at the time that a new start motor was required to be fitted as no further tests could be carried out as the engine would no longer turn over from the burnt out starter motor. A compression test was needed, also it was made very clear that a new starter motor may not fix the original not start sistuation and may need further work which would include further costs to identify why the engine was originally not starting so it could be repaired
Further tests were carried out once a starter motor was fitted and a compression test result showed low compression in cylinder 2 and 3.
I advised you that the engine would need to be stripped down and have the timing checked and stripped to find the cause of the low compression which would add more labour and parts cost
Unfortunately this is sometimes part of the repair procedure as without a functioning stater motor you cannot carry out a diagnosis

BMW 1 Series Power Steering Inspection

Mechanic was friendly but unable to diagnose the fault so I basically paid £80 for nothing.

Hi many thanks for leaving feed back unfortunately this job was a steering inspection which was carried out and advice was given with what needed to be done further. The vehicle had a communication fault, Using 3 different diagnostic machines testing it. The price was not to carry out a full strip down and inspect wiring looms and test control units. Advice was given that this would not have been a quick repair and am in depth test was needed at a garage with suitable equipment and space to strip the vehicle to check the wiring and control units
