MINI Mini Clutch replacement

My wife's car went in for a clutch replacement due to not having any power when I accelerated.
Here is a break down of what has happened:
A)Booked car in with click mechanic and Click mechanic found a garage to carry out work. I had two options: Thursday or Friday booking. I choose Friday and garage accepted ,Car was supposed to be picked up between 10:00 and 12:00, but to save them the hassle of picking it up etc I dropped car off expecting it to be worked on that day, and was then told it would be looked at on Saturday.Also, I was booked in with someone called Kris and the guy was Ian. It looks like the place used to be owned by someone called Kris and the garage was called Denwoods, but the guy was called Ian the mobile phone number brought up a name of Ace elite autos (so possible under new management).

B)Saturday came and went, no communication.
C)Monday, no communication.
D)Tuesday, I called in as I was in the area and they said it is next on the ramp to be looked at. Then later I get a call stating some air pipe has split in half and I need a new one and I will need a new part and I need to pay them direct and not through click mechanic (we have the visa receipt for this transaction). Mechanic said
the air filter pipe issue could have also contributed to the lack of power when hitting the gas pedal.

E)Wednesday. get a call stating the car is ready, so I go to collect the car and as I attempt to reverse so I can pull out, the car lunges forward and it is like there is no reverse gear. They say leave it with us.
I then get a call about an hour later stating it is ready, so I go along again to be told that the problem was a cable connector that connects from the reverse gear to a selector and this had snapped/split(this is right under the new air pipe he had fitted).
He then states he has glued the cable connector and it might last a week, might last a while, who knows? I said at the time this is not acceptable, what if the reverse gear issue starts again when my wife is driving the car. He said buy the part and we will fit it for you. Ok I thought.
So I drive the car home (about 0.7 miles away, so not even a mile) and parked the car up.

THIS IS THE ONE WHY I'M LEAVING THIS REVIEW. Friday comes and the first time my wife takes the car out and was driving on a motorway, she heard a knocking sound which started to get louder and louder, and car felt wobbly. Frightened she pulls over. She called the AA out and the AA guy stated the wheel only has two nuts holding the wheel on and those nuts are loose. The AA guy tightened the nuts and had to remove a nut from the back wheel and put it on the front wheel, just so my wife could get home. The AA guy suggested that we need to get all the nuts put back on all the wheels. AA guy stated that it looks like they have taken the wheels off to replace the clutch which is a normal thing to do, and may not have not tightened the nuts to correct spec and have only put two nuts back in on the drivers side wheel when they put the wheels back on or the nuts were not tightened properly and possibly one has come loose and flew off somewhere(he did find it hard to believe a garage would only put two nuts on to hold a wheel on). The AA guy checked the passenger side wheel and that was ok. On investigation I found a locking nut off the front drivers side wheel in the the drinks holder in the cab of the mini. Garage rang me and when I explained what had happened, the owner (Ian and not Kris) insinuated that I am at fault by stating that it was my responsibility to check the nuts are tight on a wheel after a wheel has come off for any work by a garage. They stated it is printed on every receipt of work from most garages. Thing is, I did not even get a receipt from them. All they did was hand me the keys. I asked for a receipt and they said it is all done through click mechanic. I checked the receipt via click mechanic and there is no mention that I should be checking the wheel nuts on a car. I'm not a mechanic, the car had not even done 10 miles after the work they carried out before the knocking started and it was literally the first time it had been driven (apart from the 0.7 mile journey home when I first collected the car). How on earth can it be my fault? The AA guy seemed a bit taken aback by the fact the wheel only had two nuts holding the wheel on. After I left a review online I received a text from them stating they are taking legal action against me. really? Legal action against me for leaving an honest review of my experience with you.

I am absolutely seething with rage. My wife could have been killed. The AA guy stated that she was very lucky to be alive as it could have gone really bad if that wheel had come off whilst driving on a motorway.
I've amended this review now I have time to reflect properly on the whole experience, and to reflect the timeline of events whilst they had the car in their garage and also reviewed the star ratings. The clutch they put in seems a bit noisy(normal for new clutch?), but it seems to be working. On reflection I can not leave anything other than a one star because of what happened with the nuts on the drivers side wheel. Only time will tell if they did a good job or not with the clutch replacement. The transmission does seem more noisy now, but might be because of new clutch.

as we have stated we are truly sorry for the issues you have experienced,
we are sorry you are disappointed with the service you have received we pride ourselves on customer satisfaction and do our best to provide a satisfactory service.
we apologised for the inconvenience regarding the delay getting the job started unfortunately there was a delay on parts for the job Infront of yours that we didn't anticipate would take as long as it did to be able get yours on the ramp sometimes these things happen and due to external companies suppling parts its out of our control.

yes we also experienced a split pipe which needed replacing and is not a part that click mechanic list unfortunately so unable to charge through there.
we don't provide paperwork invoices receipts etc due to the fact you receive them via click I am disappointed however to hear you requested one and were refused if you required one this should have been provided . and can still provide this should you require one, please let us know

I believe the wheel nut your referring to in the cup holder is the locking wheel nut remover key we put them in the cup holder in the car as standard so we know where they are they are not going get mixed up with our own tools and that they are going back out to the customer with the car, we apologise if this has caused any confusion.

please ensure we never insinuated that this was your fault and certainly don't want you to take what we said that way, and we truly are sorry you and your wife have experienced this and lost 2 which is the case as we will not let a car leave us without all its wheel nuts but all's we ask is that any job not just yours but any that have had the wheels removed for whatever reason the wheel nuts are checked after driving the car for a short period to ensure they are still tight because although we do our best to ensure they are tight and all of them are double checked before being put outside for collection/delivery because unfortunately it can happen it shouldn't happen and we ensure we do everything to stop it happening but it can happen and its a standard notice on our paperwork that they should be checked solely for this reason, I can only apologise that you didn't receive this information when collecting the car and that this as happened.
