I am disgusted at this mechanic Paul form Paul's Autos. I have been respectful up until now and not left a review. I did report it to your customer services though and he advised me to raise a dispute. My car had an intermittent cog light issue and sometimes sounded like it was in a higher gear. I was advised it was a clutch plate needed. Paul also verified this, drove my car away to an area where he had more space, botched the job and had to push it back to my house. He caused me 2 issues. 1. He claimed payment for a job he did not resolve and 2. Completely botched my car so it now doesn't drive at all. I raised the first issue to get a refund which he did. I then raised a second issue as I was left with a broken car. I was advised to take Paul to a small claims court, but was also advised to try mediation first which I did by raising the 2nd dispute. He replied saying the car issue was now the gearbox which he would resolve at his expense rather then having me take to social media and go to court. He picked up my car, changed his story saying it wasn't the clutch plate after all as it wasn't very worn (which he previously said was mangled), now claimed it wasn't the gearbox at fault, but an actuator. He said he fixed the actuator and the car runs fine, however this was an outright lie. He returned my car dead, broken and unusable. I have tried my best to resolve this direct with him, but he now ignores the messages in the resolution centre. Therefore I am escalating this with the Motor Abundsman and submitting an N1 application form to take this matter to a civil court. I'm currently in the process of arranging another mechanic to assess the damage he has caused. It's worth noting that I have video and audio evidence of Paul saying to me that he's had to give a 'Β£400 refund before to another customer and that if click mechanic makes him do this again he'll stop working with them'. I have video of him asking me to mark the job as completed so he got paid. I said no as he'd not resolved it. He continued to say that if he didn't mark it as complete Click Mechanic will harass me. He continued to mark it as completed to collect payment. I have used Click Mechanic for years. I even had my MOT passed just a few weeks before via click mechanic. I have used Click Mechanic for all my vehicles but after this horrible experience I will never use them again. As ive informed this customer I fixed and replaced his clutch as requested, I told this customer he has further issues on the gearbox that his actuator caused his clutch yo go. A failing actuator causes issues with clutch by not engaging gears as vehicle is automatic, I fixed the clutch told him he had further problems, he then called me a con artistst after spending 7hrs fitting the clutch then threatened me with allsorts, I asked what he wanted to do he said he couldn't afford to do any more work, he requested a full refund which he got, then tried to contact me saying he wanted the full price of the car. Then I took the car for him again replaces the actuator at my expense, returned the car and let the customer know all he has to do is get somebody to plug in with the relevant software, and code the new actuator. I've spent 3 days and I don't know how much money trying to help this person, he is jst never happy all he has to do is get the new actuator coded, it's absolutely ridiculous how he is going about this, he has not had to pay a single penny and making me out to be something I am absolutely not, disgusting, I told him he had other issues but he would rather try other methods, sad, ie my mother had cancer for 30 yrs and was the 1stvperson they tried laser treatment on, they burnt her bladder by accident, that wasn't the end of it, 30 as a child I had to watch her, I don't want to here from this customer regarding this again, these cars are known for these issuse, but I guess you jst dont want to pay nothing, now I do think that is disgusting, Read more
