Terrible experience after a number of services with CM over the years
I booked for a full service and MOT on the Thursday in order to have plenty of time for any repairs before the MOT expiry the week after - Once accepted, I provided a direct phone number to contact me as I was away at the time and my partner would be present to hand over the car. The mechanic did not arrive at the day/time of the booking and did not make any effort to contact myself or my partner at any point. Eventually an explanation was given but did not excuse the lack of contact and they arranged to arrive later in the day.
Later in the day eventually became a cancellation and rebooking for the Friday morning for collection between 8-10am. My partner had plans that day and when the mechanic was then late again this was becoming ridiculous. The mechanic arrived at 11.30am to our annoyance, collecting the car and taking it to the garage. I was advised the service was complete but the car failed the MOT which was not a pronlem, a quote was given in line with CM's prices for the repairs and retest which I accepted. I asked on several occasions what time the car would be ready I was not given a time or any response for that matter.
I returned from being away and still had not had any contact from the mechanic until messages were sent via the CM message portal after prompts from myself - At which point I had realised the mechanic had been using two different phone numbers while claiming to be having problems with WhatsApp / messenger. On finally receiving a response, the car wasn't going to be returned until 7pm and the car had been in Reading for the repairs, hardly a local mechanic. It then meant I could not drive on returning home and had to arrange other transport, and delays to my onwadd travel.
This was absolutely unacceptable when I had made provisions to be contactable immediately on booking despite being away. I appreciate the mechanic had been impacted by an injury however the lack of communication and clarity was not acceptable and caused unnecessary stress and delays to both myself and my partner. If the mechanic is unable to complete the work promptly let alone turn up on time they should not be accepting the job.

I was a little skeptical after reading some other reviews but Muhammad was polite, communicative, honest, and punctual. Car was serviced and MOT'd as requested. No additional work required. Car was picked up and dropped off as communicated. Couldnt really have asked for anything more!

Muhammad was great, gave me a time for arrival, I was the informed my car had failed it's MOT but Muhammad did quote for the works and I accepted. This was then advised that due to not being able to MOT the same day my car would be returned the next day.
There was a slight issue whereby my mileage was incorrectly noted on my MOT paperwork but a quick message to Muhammad and this was rectified within 24hrs.

Collection for service and MOT was very convenient and friendly. Unfortunately the car failed the MOT but the major issues were resolved the same day and the re-test arranged and completed at the next available opportunity. Can't fault the service provided, thank you. To others booking please note that the car will be taken to a garage in Reading for work and testing (I am located in Swindon).

Not a happy customer!
Service provided on 10th December (MOT and full service)
1) The MOT shows a mileage of 69,507 miles and when the car was returned to me its mileage is 69,604 miles which means the car had been driven for ~100 miles after the MOT was carried out. Muhammad took the car back to Reading which is only ~30 miles from our house so the car had been driven for an additional 70 miles after the MOT. I have no record of the mileage before the vehicle was picked up and before the MOT so do not how far the car had been driven by Muhammad before the MOT was conducted.
2) The car had a half tank of fuel when picked up and was returned with the fuel just above red, however Muhammad asked for extra cash to cover fuel he had put in the car (which we refused)
3) We found a spare part (unrelated to our car as we only had a service) under the front passenger seat - I questioned this and have had no response from Muhammad.
Indication our car was used for another purpose?
4) Since the car has been returned we have a warning 'speed too high' message flash up every time we go over 20 mph. This normally happens at a speed of 80 mph. This was not a problem prior to the service.
5) I had to contact Muhammad at 18.53 on the day of the service to see what was happening with the car as we were expecting the car returned on the same day. His reply said as it was late so it would be returned the next day (which it was but not until 11am). Very poor communication.
We have been in communication with Muhammad and he denies using the car for extra miles but the mileage shows otherwise. The points above make us question the honesty of the garage and hence doubt the work that has been carried out - how can we tell that a service was conducted?
Our car is booked in at our local garage to check that the main items in a full service have been carried out.
We have spoken with the MOT centre and are happy that the MOT was carried out by a reputable testing centre.

Skoda Superb Cylinder head gasket replacement

The car was booked in for a head gasket, on collection, the driver said it should be back the same day, thursday, but worse case it would be returned Friday, but he would call me on the Thursday if this was the case. I spent Friday calling the driver who refused to tell me who the mechanic was, and where my car was.
When the mechanic called me on the friday, he blamed the English workers for not working the weekend as the head needed skimming. He told me it would be back Tuesday.
I called on Tuesday, and he said he still didn't have time to sort the car out, and it might be back Wednesday because he was still waiting for parts.
Wednesday past, and he told me it would be a few more days. The car was returned Thursday after missing 3 promises to return it. His promises and timeliness mean nothing.
When the car returned, it had a warning light on, the driver said he'd spoken to the garage and they confirmed it would go off within a few miles and needed driving.
The light was reset at the time and returned with cylinder problems on the obd. Immediately on driving, the air-conditioning started aloghing/bubbling, within 20 minutes it had also dropped coolant. Mechanic confirned i can still drive, it regulalry bubbles/sloshing noises and has further top ups. On investigation it links the faults to the repair job not being completed properly.
He booked it in under warranty for today, after I received a guarantee it would be back due to traveling for the Christmas holidays, at 1130, it hasn't been collected and he told me it may not be done until Friday, meaning the children won't see family prior to Christmas.
I am utilising the warranty due to the cost of the job, but I am not confident it will be rectified on time or correctly.
