I recently used your company for an MOT, service, and replacement brake discs and pads. Unfortunately, I was somewhat disappointed with the overall experience.

The mechanic arrived within the agreed collection window of 10am–12pm, which I appreciated. However, there was no introduction or identification shown on arrival. As a new customer handing over my vehicle to a company I had not used before, I felt it would have been reassuring for the driver to introduce himself and provide some form of ID.

Once my car had been collected, I received no communication throughout the day regarding its progress.
As it was getting past 5pm and I had not heard anything, I contacted the company myself as I was becoming concerned. I was later informed that the driver was on his way back with the vehicle. Regular updates during the day would have provided reassurance and greatly improved the customer experience.

I was also disappointed that the final bill was higher than the original quotation. I understand that additional work can sometimes be necessary, but I would have expected to be contacted beforehand to discuss and approve any extra costs before the work was carried out.

The work itself appears to have been completed satisfactorily, but the lack of communication throughout the process let the experience down considerably. I hope this feedback is useful in helping improve the service provided to future customers.

Firstly, I would like to apologise that your experience did not fully meet your expectations. While I am pleased to hear that the work carried out on your vehicle appears to have been completed satisfactorily, I appreciate your concerns regarding communication throughout the day.

We understand your comments regarding identification when the vehicle was collected and agree that a proper introduction can provide additional reassurance, particularly for first-time customers.

With regard to the lack of updates during the day, the vehicle required additional work which resulted in the completion time being later than originally anticipated. As the booking was made through ClickMechanic, we were under the impression that customers would receive updates and notifications regarding any delays through their platform. We appreciate that this information did not reach you as expected, and we apologise for any concern this caused.

Regarding the additional costs, these related to work that was found to be necessary once the vehicle had been inspected. The details of the additional work and associated costs were submitted and explained through the ClickMechanic portal in accordance with their process. As the booking and authorisation process was managed through ClickMechanic, we understood that any updates and approvals would be communicated via their platform. Nevertheless, we understand your concerns and appreciate your feedback regarding how this was experienced from your perspective.

Very patient, I’ve been the target of thieves since January, so a lot of my info was patchy, we walked round the car, discussed locking nuts, I left him the key and off he went, I was expecting the job to be done in the time quoted, but it came back well into the afternoon, so I’d suggest clarifying before when to expect the car back, I’ve since recommended the site to others and plan on using it from now on! Thank you

Good communication re. the collection of the car. Job done quickly and returned. It was a brake disk and pad replacement so hard to assess quality of work until we have done a few miles but brakes clearly work!
