Renault Grand Scenic Brake pads replacement - rear (all)

Do not have Grant as your mechanic!
He replaced my brake pads then told me the automatic handbrake doesn't work!
Well it did before you disconnected it!
I took the vehicle to a highly qualified garage to diagnostic check it. He told me the procedure for releasing the automatic handbrake wasn't followed correctly.
The handbrake can't be reset now. Later on I stopped at the shop only to get back in and find out the automatic handbrake is now locked on!
The car is now undrivable, sold as spares or repairs now!
Don't have Grant work on your car!

This is completely incorrect, the rear brake pads were replaced completely correctly and work absolutely fine, we advised that you replaced the rear discs as they were in awful/dangerous condition but took no notice. The handbrake was recalibrated using an automated procedure on a Delphi diagnostic machine. The unit would not recalibrate correctly as something internally had jammed. We gave you the opportunity to give us the vehicle to remove the unit and see if we could repair it for you but you declined, we could have had the opportunity to actually show you what had failed in your handbrake unit but clearly you’d rather behave uncooperatively like this.
You state that it went to a highly qualified trusted garage afterwards and they say the procedure wasn’t followed correctly which is impossible, there is only one way to replace the pads and that was carried out perfectly. I’m sorry your handbrake jammed, but if you refuse our help then really what else are we meant to do. Your car failed not us.
I urge anyone reading this particular review to Google the words “Renault Scenic Handbrake” and all will be revealed with regards to the failure rate of these things.
