My mechanic was booked for service and MOT
he phoned to ask if he could collect earlier than time stated which was great
I did think the job was going to be done on the drive - I think the website should make it MUCH clearer that your car will be taken away for the day
The mechanic kept me well informed as to things being done to the car
They called with a time they would return with car and gave a detailed account of things to look out for before next MOT
And a nice touch was returning car washed

MOT Test Inspections can not be done on the Drive-Way, they can only be conducted at DVSA appointed Test Centres, using Calibrated Equipment.
We always aim to return a vehicle within 3 hours, unfortunately your vehicle failed so rectification was necessary, hence it taking longer than usual.
It is a fair point you've raised however, the website should be a little MORE informative in regards to the whole MOT process and the fact that if the car fails to pass, what the process and options available to you are.
It will be relayed to the right Team immediately.

Fantastic Mechanic. I am purchasing a Porsche Cayman S 3.4 981 from a dealership, Imran went to go inspect it after purchasing a full inspection package from ClickMechanic. He communicated with me throughout the whole process. Very knowledgeable, friendly and clearly loves cars. Imran is detailed, and found lots of faults on the car, advised me how to go on about it with the dealership and has been CC'd in emails to ensure that the dealer doesn't mess me about. Imran turned up on time stated but didn’t receive a call? The seller texted me to tell me he had left 1 and a half hour after turning up but didn’t receive a call back as stated when I book? So I called Imran instead, not a problem though glad I paid as it turned out to be a god send vehicle wasn’t good so thank you Imran saved me money in long run will use again if I get a discount

I normally make a phone call when I have finished collating the Report, doesn't make sense to call before the Report is finished because there is not much to discuss at that point.
This particular Report took more time than usual, 2.5 hours in total to be exact, due to it being an insurance "write-off" repair.
Also, there were 60+ photos to go through and to add to the Report, it all takes time.
Good luck with the search, a discount is always applied on second / multiple Inspections.
