Outstanding Mechanic Hossain diagnosed a fault that no one else could even acknowledge!
Over the years several cars that I've owned have experienced a similar problem in that fumes from the engine bay were leaking from somewhere and getting sucked in to the cabin causing me to become dizzy and get severe migraine headaches. Whenever mechanics would check the cars they would tell me that there was nothing wrong with them. Hossain the mechanic deployed by Click mechanic is the only mechanic who I have ever met who has properly explained why this is happening. He explained that when a catalytic converter is partially blocked it can still function largely okay but push fumes backwards which can leak from the cat and get sucked in to the air intake. He recommended trying a catalytic converter cleaner first of all and in the worst case scenario replacing the cat but only if absolutely necessary. Considering that I have experienced this problem with several vehicles and on each occasion mechanics always told me that I was imagining that there was a problem Hossains expert diagnosis is nothing short of ground breaking as far as I'm concerned and to me he is a total hero. What was so reassuring is that without me even explaining how the fumes affected me he described word for word how the same type of fumes affect him as well and cause vision problems, eye iritation , dizziness and headaches. It was encouraging to realise that I was not imagining anything at all but there was a genuine problem that was resulting in fumes getting inside my car and making me Ill. Mechanic s conduct was fine. But he said after inspection thermostat was probably faulty. Where as in his report on email he put in water pump radiator etc as well. I was disappointed.
