Expensive and not transparent about how overall labour costs accrued.

Reasons for ratings:
1) collection 1.5 hrs late
2) additional work recommended
3) overall cost of £1668.80 quoted
4) after work was paid I saw breakdown was £1337.72 for labour and £331.08 for parts
5) mechanic confirmed his daily rate was £80-£90ph but could not advise how 14hrs had accrued for labour
6) ClickMechanic reviewed and recommend just under £300 refund
7) mechanic refused

If you go with this mechanic, and they advise you need additional work done, I would recommend you check the daily rate and how many hours the work is expected to take.

Reading through the review, there are numerous other people stating this mechanic is expensive. He may be worth the price but, as always with things like this, it is reliant on trust and clarity around how charges were accrued.

Good job completed quickly. Mechanic booked in within 15 minutes of submitting online form to click mechanic. Recovery had to be arranged due to the type of car and job but that was quick and efficient. It was a surprise that DK Autos were over 20 miles from where I live but that didn't cause any problem on this occasion due to the recovery!

I was kept informed of the extra work needed to pass the MOT, friendly conversations, with the bad news. Did their best to minimise the cost to me, which they didn’t have to do.

I am not totally convinced that my MOT needed £600 worth of additional work but you have to put your trust in these mechanics and just hope that you'er not being ripped off (as I have been in the past - but not through click mechanic I must add).

I made an error with the reg of my vehicle and parts were ordered for wrong vehicle. DK Autos were still able to get the parts needed do the repairs plus addition work requested and drop the vehicle back to me on time for my pre arranged MOT. Great service.

Dave was very good he kept me informed of everything as they went along. The work that needed doing was done very quickly.
