Disappointed with Service Quality and Lack of Transparency

It was my first time to use ClickMechanic. SAD Technician (NR) have taken up the job for a "Full Service" on my vehicle, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The service, which typically involves a thorough inspection and maintenance, was "completed" in under an hour, raising concerns about its thoroughness.

When I checked under the engine cover, I noticed the antifreeze had not been topped up—despite this being an included item in the full-service checklist. This was confirmed later when I received a report stating it wasn’t done because “water in van frozen. ” I was further surprised to find a separate charge quoted for topping up the antifreeze (£15 plus 1-hour labor), even though it should have been part of the initial service.

Due to these issues, I lost trust in SAD’s service quality and chose not to proceed with their quotation. Instead, I took my car to the official dealer, where I received a more comprehensive service: brake discs and pads replacement, brake fluid change, antifreeze top-up (at no extra cost), plus a complimentary car wash and vacuum—at a similar price.

Mechanic arrived 2 hrs early meaning I was not at home, but he waited. He was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable but work was carried out rather quickly. When the car went back for its MOT it failed again on the work which I had paid ClickMechanic for. Will not be using this service again.
