The mechanic was friendly. He only shone a torch on the engine and then recommended that we didn’t drive the vehicle. He put some oil in it and then left. He didn’t undo anything to have a look.
We then got a quote for £591 to replace timing belt and investigate oil leak.
We organised for a local garage to come, they took 20 to diagnose the problem and fix it. Took for a test drive, all done in an hour at a fraction of the £591 quote.

Originally did the inspection and quoted for the cost. The parts turned up early so he managed to get the job done a day early. Cheery chap. Thanks for doing it so promptly
