Booked in for diagnostic. Two guys turned up with no tools or test equipment, diagnosed nothing guessed as good as I did. Gave me a number for a mechanic and left. Will be chasing a refund

I put on the question on click mechanic, my car not safe to drive as the clutch had gone, car wouldn't move unless you fully reved my car to the maximum it would then go 5mph,
(Problem 1 ) The mechanic who collected my car drove it in full revs all the way to his garage
(Problem 2) they told us would be fixed by Friday evening car never arrived, then told us Saturday evening car never arrived Sunday car never arrived no communication to point my wife had 3 days off work waitting for car to be returned.
(Problem 3) very abusive towards my wife to point she was in tears, my wife is a placid person and is pregnant with our first baby through IVF, she doesn't need the stress.
(Preblem 4) the mechanic told us that the fly wheel had gone and wanted another £400 I know the fly wheel was fine because the car was pre inspected by my step father who is a retired mechanic only reason he didn't do the work is through Ill health to much for him to take on, the only way that fly wheel would be damaged is when they proceeded to drive my car to there garage at full revs causing assesive heat to the fly wheel.
(Problem 5) when they brought my car back the mechanic threw the key at me (unprofessional if you ask me)
(Problem 6) I drove the car when it came back there is a cluncking noise now when putting the car in first gear it wasn't there befor ????
So what do I do about that I'm £700 quid down and have a cluncking noise, a upset wife, 3 days pay down, and left with a car that isn't right still the only problem it had was the clutch.... Read more
