Probably not so knowledgeable I had to leave to go back to my home.
He left the car with problems unfixed, payed lots of money and the car is not fixed fully because he left works undone.

To clarify our telephone and what’s app conversation. I attended your car as a diagnostic inspection. I diagnosed a faulty fuel pump as the reason your car wouldn’t start. I came back the next day and fitted a new fuel pump and the car started and you drove back home from Stratford to Manchester. The first time I knew about your rev counter problem was when I called you after receiving this review. To clarify the Rev counter problem is unconnected to the fuel pump and is a separate issue. This is a common fault with Fiat 500’s and there are lots of companies online offering a clock repair service.
Also I did tell you at the time of fitting the new fuel pump the the fuel filler cap wasn’t sealing properly, I would again advise to get this looked at by a local garage as this could allow rain water and condensation in to your fuel tank.

Citroen Grand C4 Picasso Alternator replacement

He was ok late but kept us informed we had a time slot of 8am till 10am but arrived at 12 noon. The car worked for half day after fitting a new alternater, but then randomly stopped dead while driving on a busy road.

The mechanic was booked for 8-10am but turned up more near to noon! As he said his car broke down...not exactly reassuring. Ripped the glove compartment to get to the electrics at the back, but not put back together. Spent 90 minutes on a diagnostic call out to say he didn't know what the problem was, probably an electrical unit!! Then left in his Ford car, not a professional sign written van etc. So after spending £101 for a diagnostic call out for next day between 8-10am, He arrived late after braking down in his own vehicle and left me in the same position of not knowing why my car want start and being £101 lighter in the pocket for it! Sorry if incoherent and waffling on, but angry and upset. ..I might as well as burnt £101 and didn't use this service, because I would still be in the same position but minus the state of the glove box! Sort I was late,I had an issue with my own car. I did call to let you know I would be late and you said it wasn’t a problem. The glove compartment was lowered to gain access to the fuse box. I’m sorry I must have forgotten to lift it back up. As you said I spent 90 minutes checking all the electrical components on the car. I told you there was a wiring issue with the car or a possible BCM fault. I advised you that to get to the bottom of these faults would be time consuming and expensive. I don’t use a sign written van because of tool thefts.
You paid for a diagnostic inspection suspecting you need a starter motor.
Upon inspection I found there to be underlying faults. I understand your frustration at paying out money and not getting a definitive diagnosis. Unfortunately the magnitude of diagnosing wiring faults isn’t covered in a standard diagnostic inspection.
