good to find out what wrong with the car headgasket gone again but wayne was alright

We are really happy with the work Wayne did for us. We asked him to carry out a pre purchase examination of a car which we thought was ok but we lacked the technical knowledge to be sure. His report was very detailed and his phone call to us was reassuring and he explained his findings in an understandable manner which was appropriate for non-technical people such as ourselves.

We haven’t used Click mechanic before but the entire process was quick, simple and straightforward- and Wayne was excellent!

Wayne was helpful and sound in his knowledge. He checked and tried different methods of trying to diagnose the fault on my motorhome. By a process of elimination arriving at the conclusion that the fault lay in the lighting stalk on the steering wheel being at fault. This fault was arrived at by all my lights working except when dipped beam was selected on the stalk. Power was proved to be there from the fuse box to the headlights. This was proved by him providing power from the fuse box via the fuses 10amp which brought the lights on. So the fault was indicated to be from the stalk down to the fuse box. He suggested I could prove this by testing for continuity from the plug in points at the base of the steering wheel. This he could not do himself in the time allotted for a diagnostic check as it entails stripping out the plastic covers around the steering wheel to access the plugs. He explained to me how to do this check and I feel I am competent enough to do this myself. He also said if I needed any further advice that I had his number and I could call him. Have really good honest feedback, saved me from buying a car which needed an awful lot of work doing.

He was unable to check the item itself due to location of the part, but did confirm it wasn’t leaking. The item rather was really bad, but he still got under the car to check. Will use him again!
