The mechanic didnt do as expected
He had done more than expected in the sense of advice on whether he personally thought if it was a worthwhile purchase or not, regardless of the amount.

I was extremely happy with his confidence and honest opinions. The report itself was good.

AA was a little cheaper but I felt just a visual check and the feedback on the worth and condition of the van in terms of experienced opinion was a red tape area. They don't talk about those things and we as consumers are left to work out how to interpret the report
