Jaguar XE Basic Pre-purchase Inspection

I have booked for a pre check before buying a used car. Mechanic gave me a very good rating after the inspection. Even after I asked him specifically about the engine. He mentioned everything is really good. I bought the car trusting his feedback. Now just after a week I bought the car, I started getting the engine symbol on the dashboard.

I’m sorry to hear that. But at time of doing inspection, plugging in computer and taking for a good road test there was no signs of any issues or codes in the ecu.

I then moved on into restoration of classic cars and ran a local village mot station alongside side doing servicing, mot repairs and general mechanical and diagnostic work on classic and modern vehicles.
