Andrew arrived in time and I thought confident that he would do the job well. He could not start the battery and could not get a diagnostic report. I arranged for my Mini Cooper to go to a local garage. It transpired that he most likely did not have the correct equipment for a diagnostic report that I had asked for, and in the end it was only a low battery!!! I also noticed he had not allowed enough time for my issue and was in a hurry as he said to get to the next job. All in all not a good first time experience in using ClickMechanic.
Reply from Keith:
Sorry but I think you’ve got the wrong person. However, if this is the mini that had a battery reading of 12.4v and a battery test reading showing as good, spending nearly 2 hours attempting to start with a 900 amp jump starter, attempting jump leads from my own vehicle and still unable to connect to the ECU with a diagnostic device that has never had a problem with any other mini or any other vehicles. The car in question had an ECU failure and I provided a copy of the report. The car was under warranty and I believe they didn’t want to admit the correct diagnostic report. I’m so sorry that you felt the need to make these comments especially after producing the diagnostic report and showing you the battery test. I appreciate and, thank you for your understanding during the time I was working on your car. Read more
