Do the mechanics carry an ID to prove who they are?

All mechanics on our network are independent, meaning they are not employed by us, as they trade under their own business names. So unfortunately we cannot insist mechanics carry ID with them to a job. As a matter of courtesy though, we do ask the mechanics to carry a means of identification with them when visiting customers for your peace of mind.
