Fuel: Diesel injector leak off testing

A diesel injector leak off test is used as one of the initial tests to ascertain the condition of the fuel injectors. The technician will remove and block the fuel return lines and put in specially adapted connectors and lines that lead to small bottles.

From the way and quantity that these bottles fill with fuel, the technician can determine if one or more of the injectors are not operating as they should.
