Windows: One of my windows wont open / close

The first thing to check is whether you can hear the window motor working. If this is the case, the part that has failed is known as the window regulator. These normally break when the window is being closed, leaving the glass either fully down or partially closed. If this is the case you will need to book in for a window regulator replacement.

If you are unable to hear the motor and the glass is fully up, its more likely that the motor has failed, rather than the regulator mechanism.
