How can we help?
HOW TO PLACE YOUR BOOKING WITH CLICKMECHANIC
Once you have decided to proceed with your quotation through ClickMechanic, click on the green Next Step button
You will see the confirmation of the quote price, the vehicle details and the work selected in the black box at the top.
You now need to enter your name and an email address (so you can receive your booking confirmation) and remember to tick the option box for MOT reminders and monthly promotions.
Now enter your full address and the contact number for the mechanic to call you on, which we will also use if there are any issues with your booking.
Now please select the dates and times your vehicle will be available at the address you have given. Please note, as long as you are happy, you do not need to be present, you can leave the keys in a safe place or with a neighbour for example.
If you wish to add more information about your booking, whether it be any location details, information that may help the repair, etc, then please click on the Add a note for your mechanic and you will be presented with the following box
Now you have the option to select either a mobile mechanic coming out to you (at no extra cost), free collection and return delivery (providing the vehicle is drivable) or whether you wish to drop the car off to the garage yourself.
Once you are happy with all the details and you have selected your options on the repair location, press the green Final step button
To finalise your booking, you'll need to enter your bank card details into our 256-bit SSL encrypted website to be used by our secure payments provider Stripe. We won't take a penny from you until the mechanic has completed any work. It's just like a hotel reservation - we will reserve the booking amount on your card 24 hours before the booking so we can ensure the mechanic gets paid.
If you have any questions regarding the payment process, please visit our Pre-Authorisations and Payments help centre.
What happens next?
The booking will go through our secure processing system before the details of the work requirements, location and the availability you have given, are sent out to the network of vetted mechanics who cover your area.
As soon as one of them checks the details against their diary and can obtain the parts (if required) in time, they will accept the booking. You will receive an email confirmation of the mechanic who will be carrying out the work, but they should be giving you a call as well, prior to the booking commencement time to introduce themselves.
