Can I change my mechanic?
If for any reason you are unhappy with the independent mechanic that has accepted your booking, then please let us know within one hour and we will endeavour to find you another mechanic.
Please be advised should you wish to change your mechanic and it is outside of this time and the scheduled appointment time is less than 24 hours away, then a cancellation charge would apply as per our published terms. Cancellation requests outside of the 24 hour period will not incur any charge and any pre-authorised amount will be released accordingly.
Please also note pre-authorisations are mechanic specific and non-transferable - for example, if mechanic 'John' has accepted your booking and the appointment is less than 24 hours away, a pre-authorisation (ring-fence hold) of the booking cost amount will be called on your payment card for John.
If you then wish to change to another mechanic, we would then remove John from your booking and this would also cancel the pre-authorised funds for John (minus any applicable cancellation fee due).
If/when another mechanic accepts the work, a new pre-authorisation of the booking cost in their name would be called for, so please bear in mind there could be a crossover of available funds going back to/from your account balance.
