The replacement of the alternator was carried out professionally but sadly the quality of perhaps the alternator itself was deficient as a green flag mechanic has determined it is defective and it is quite clearly making a grinding noise and now is by his determination potentially unsafe to drive. This noise appeared after a few days of the new fitting.

He was very helpful. Agreed with me that job didn’t need doing.
Contacted me beforehand to check on the necessary part.

Did not complete the work and left the site stating the faulty part was not the fault (despite it being tested to be faulty with the mechanic present) and claimed there was "another issue" with the car. Packed his things and left. Would probably have left without saying anything if we didn't notice him packing up his kit.

Most likely fit the part incorrectly and has now claimed the payment for the work. Fortunately I paid on credit card so have already contacted the bank and raised an issue with clickmechanic.

I will not be using clickmechanic again if this is the quality of mechanic they engage.

Martin was on time and even suggested to give the a quick check over. Although he did not have to do any repairs, ( due to complex nature of the car). I am pleased about his professionalism.

Delighted with the work , attitude and timeliness. A great service for people who do not want to go to the garage. Highly recommended.

Martin was great. Checked for the issue and quickly realised I had got the problem wrong so advised what he could do instead. Gave me a quote and then got on with fixing the real issue and it was all done with no hassle while I carried on working from home.
