BMW 3 Series Car Won't Start Inspection

I was happy with the work undertaken only the engineer did not arrive on the day they said they would. When he made the first diagnosis he made a guess as to the fault and only because I asked if he was going to use a laptop to check the ECU did he do so and found that it was a completely different fault with the fuel filter and not the ECU relay as he first suspected. I would use the service again but before I recommend it I would like to feel more confident in the service. He also wanted me to spend £80.00 on a new battery despite that I have had it tested and told its fine by Halfords.

Firstly I recommended to connect my computer to the car, the customer did not even know about the on board diagnostics until I explained!
Secondly the non starting vehicle was running perfectly after I diagnosed and fixed the problem!
Thirdly the customer had a battery that is old and possibly caused the problem in the first place but when he calls back as his car is not starting I will refresh his memory with this review...
Finally I contacted customer to ask if his battery was fixed as it was dead when I first attended but he never got back to me until next day there fore job was delayed by a day as it would be useless me attending if he still had a dead battery.
