I started my career as a mechanic at BMW undertaking an apprenticeship which lasted 4 years. After learning all the tricks of the trade at BMW I then went onto Land Rover for 2 years further enhancing my skills. Being an entrepreneurial person I broke out by my self and became a mobile mechanic at the beginning of 2014 and haven't looked back since.

The mechanic was very friendly and seemed to know what he was talking about however this is the second appointment we've had using click mechanic now, and there have been issues both times.

On this occasion, the engineer turned up so late that we had to reschedule for another day. He then proceeded to turn up late for this booking too.

We didn't have any issues with the mechanic whilst he was carrying out work and he did in fact diagnose the issue but the report which I believe are standard practice, but we specifically requested anyway, did not actually note the main problem.

Maz gave a comprehensive verbal and written report. The photos were detailed and helpful especially of the underside of the car where I would never have been able to look.

Maz was very informative and explained things in great detail and was very patient with my questions and need for him to explain things repeatedly and in different ways in order for me to fully understand what his inspection had identified and the potential implications. Maz was very honest and transparent about his findings and their limitations, but ultimately suggested he would not be happy to purchase the vehicle due to there being potentially costly electronic issues present from what he’d identified on the diagnostic test… I decided not to go ahead with the purchase as a result of the inspection as it felt like too much of a risk.

The mechanic failed to tell me that there were several significant faults shown on the diagnostics, and that there was significant corrosion to the underside of the car. I was therefore unaware until I saw his photographs after I had bought the car.

Reply from Maz:

All faults were mentioned on the report its just ashame you decided to purchase the vehicle before checking the report....that's why I advised you prior to purchasing to read the report before purchasing...

Maz was very punctual. He even arrived slightly earlier than I booked. He took the car to a garage and carried out all the necessary tests, then we had a 5 minute phone call going over any problems that came up. Luckily, there weren't many, so it wasn't a long call.
However, one issue was the report didn't mention that the electronics for the left-side wing mirror weren't working, or that the driver's side interior light doesn't work. Both problems that I've discovered today while driving that the report says are in working condition. I'm sure they're not big fixes but it would've been nice to be aware.
