I am very happy with the work carried out and the care taken with my car by Ryan, also great communication from Jim, everything was explained at every stage and options given. Top class blokes and service.
The only downside was the price mis quoted by ClickMechanic. The quote for the injector part was £100 less than the actual price. Also I was quoted for the job to be 90 minutes whilst the job took 4 hours, hence the price was double the quote. Updated prices and more accurate timescales for jobs would be beneficial for quotes.
I would rather have been quoted for a 4 hour job and if it was completed in 90 minutes a refund for the time difference would have put a smile on my face rather than what happened.

James was very knowledgeable and found what was wrong with my car.

Please use any other company than SAS. There are other mechanics on Clickmechanic. I got a clean and regeneration of the DPF. There are two parts to the regeneration and SAS only did one part, 5 days later the DPF light came back on.

Once they)e mechanic 'fixed' the issue the mechanic told me the DPF clean and regeneration may not work but he had charged me anyway. As it turned out the fix did not work, as he had not finished the job!!

SAS said it was not their issue. Clickmechanic agreed and both parties said I needed a new DPF at a hugh cost.

I got a local garage to look at the issue. The put the car on the diagnostic system and they said the soot level was zero in the DPF, so the car did not need a new DPF.

They then looked at the regeneration and realised it had not been done correctly. They did the second part and the car runs fine now.

Please do not use SAS. I was lucky I got a second opinion when Clickmechanic and SAS washed their hands and tried to rinse us for hundreds of pounds. It cost me another £48 to fix the issue. I only wish I had used the local garage and saved myself a lot of hassle. SAS offered me no help as did Clickmechanic.

They did not do the DPF regeneration correctly and it was not their fault, and they want to keep my money. Please if you need to use Clickmechanic, pick another company/mechanic other than SAS. Read more

Ryan was thorough, friendly and gave good advice.
He made an effort to eliminate another possible cause of the fault as well as carrying out the diagnosis which I had asked for.

Carried out the work in a professional manner and explained what he was doing.
He was very pleasant and would definately get him again
