Ford Transit Brake pads replacement - front (all)

The mechanic was friendly and polite. He seemed to know what he was doing and got on with the job straight away. I have just one issue with his work, as he fitted the front brake pads he did not drain off the excess brake fluid but rather allowed it to be pushed back into the reservoir which subsequently overflowed onto the engine bay and onto the bodywork chassis which could cause further corrosion. He should have known better but I think he was just wanting to get the job done as quick as possible and go.

Hi Marcel thank you for your feedback, when the piston on the caliper is being pushed back this also pushes fluid back through the system sometimes resulting in fluid overflow from the reservoir. We appreciate the time you've taken to inform us and shall certainly make sure that this is cleaned if and when required on future occasions thank you

The service went ahead as planned. I was advised that I might want to change the accessory belt but I decided to wait. The MoT failed first time because of headlamp alignment. I agreed to pay the ClickMechanic group rate for the extra work and the MoT passed. The advisory indicated that I should check and possibly repair rear coil springs but I decided to postpone this work as well. All communications were polite and helpful.

Parts were good. But they came with one pads less so had to wait them to come back with the other one.
