i think this is a brilliant service. coming to your work or home saves a massive amount of time and no having to arrange lifts to and from the garage while your car is there and no waiting allday for the phone to ring to say the works been done! easy payment online to and now with online history its all good. mots and tyre fitting next please!

Warren was great. On time, well equipped, knowledgable and affable. He'd called beforehand to ensure he had the details necessary to order the correct part (two types of alternator available for my car apparently, dependent on whether or not you have air con). Three weeks later the car is still working perfectly. Exactly the service I'd hoped to get from click mechanic. Thanks.

I contacted click mechanic about a suspect ignition coil and spark plugs on my golf. Mechanic arrived, was very communicative about when he would get there etc. Lovely chap, seemed to know what he was on about. He said there was still a problem with the car after replacing the coil and after consulting a VW specialist himself he suggested that it was probably the engine control unit and that i needed to take it to an authorised dealer.

I've just done this and I've heard back from VW that there's no problem with the ECU and it's just fouled up spark plugs which he should have seen once he removed the ignition coil.

in my original contact with click mechanic I'd asked for the following to be checked and done

> loss of power and engine light warning.
>
> Engine management light no3 cylinder suspect coil pack plus spark plugs.

so the mechanic replaced the coil but did nothing about the spark plugs and now I've had to pay for a VW diagnostic report as well as a premium rate for replacing a few spark plugs.

needless to say I'm a little disappointed that the work I'd originally requested done to an acceptable standard and has left me without a car for an extended period and a bit more out of pocket than I needed to be.

I informed click mechanic of this and have received no response to my complaint. Communication up to this point was great. Actual delivery of service. Very poor. Read more
