The car was booked in for an MOT and service. It failed the MOT and I was quoted £240 for a new front coil spring. I called up my regular garage for an alternative quote and they quoted £167.94. The bill has £54 added for a coolant change that two other garanges said wasn't necessary and £42 for a brake fluid change when a quick bleed and top up is all that is required. I'll have to stump up for a new MOT but I'd rather do that than let these people swindle me.

I have tried getting hold of you on numerous occasions today and text you and sent a message using the Click Mechanic portal to see whether you wanted to get the front coil spring replaced unfortunately we don’t just go ahead and repair things without speaking to the customer first.
As advised the drivers front coil is broken this would need replacing to pass the MOT .
the coolant change and the brake fluid or advisories of a service periodic replacement according to time and mileage
Upon arrival the coolant bottle was empty this was topped up and this is the reason for changing the coolant to make sure the correct mixture was in the system there was no visible leak.
I understand that you feel the prices are too high. Click Mechanic add commission on top of all bookings (20% plus vat ) and this has to be factored in in the price something I can’t do nothing about
We quoted you £120 plus VAT to supply and fit a front coil Spring
Which is cheaper then you was quoted elsewhere, And £35 plus vat to flush your brake fluid and refill
And £45 plus vat to replace your coolant all inc part and Labour .
This was all sent via txt message to yourself
We arrived on time and communicated via txt , telephone, and the ClickMechanic portal And offered free collection and delivery even on the proposed repair work, so I’m confused by the negative review

I was booked in for an 8-10 slot which was perfect. Got a text the day before to say pick up would be between 7 and 8. Machine arrived without the original time slot! Extra work was needed but they called, explained and said they could do it if I wanted and gave a price. Work done, Paid for and car returned by 3pm. Would have been helpful to know location car was going to (without needing to google) as I thought I’d agreed to a 5 mile radios so didn’t allow as much fuel as I should.
