The mechanic explained why he was late and completed the clutch replacment within my time scale. The new clutch works well, did not expect so much to come off the car but all back on.
May use again to fix power steering servo.
Mechanic very honest, drove off and then returned with my coffee cups.

Chris did exactly what I asked him to. To diagnose why the car won't start after I had spent hours swapping coils and plugs, checking fuel etc.
He spent two hours carry out meticulous fault-finding and concluded that the ECU will need repairing or replacing.
If I had done that myself it would have taken days over many weekends. Now I know what to do next.
Well worth the small expense when you need your car back on the road.

Mechanic was friendly and helpful, he arrived at the time he had notified me of earlier in the day via txt message. He was knowledgeable, providing good clear communication on the work and problems, and very efficient, the work was finished at the lower end of the time range given in the quote, I had expected longer given the potential for seized bolts, etc. given the 15+ years age of the car.
The finished work looks good, a check under the bonnet confirmed that everything was neatly refixed and the car is again driving well. All in all a very good job, a highly recommended mechanic.
