I managed to book Duncan 2 days before going up to Edinburgh to collect the car. I phoned him up to confirm the time we were getting to the dealership. On the day itself, he got there a couple of hours before us so by the time we got there, the report was ready and I was able to review and go ahead with the purchase. If you are spending tens of thousands on a car, paying for a pre-inspection report is definitely worth it for the peace of mind and could save you money in long run. The report itself is very thorough, competitively priced, and with the added bonus that you get the report almost immediately (which you don't get with some others), allowing you to make a decision on whether to buy or not on the same day.
