Booked diagnostic test Sunday evening, Brett arrived 10am Monday morning, very prompt service. I had a warning message on dashboard displaying OIL SENSOR GARAGE. Brett plugged computer into car & said it was coming up with oil sensor code error. I asked for a price to replace the faulty part & booked the car in for collection on Wednesday. I asked Brett four times would this new part clear the warning message as my car is due for it's MOT & I didn't want the warning message to warrant a failure, the best he could say was it should do but added that the car would not fail the MOT as the warning message was only displayed for a few seconds when the ignition was started then went off. Brett collected the car on Wednesday morning as arranged, returning the car to me on Wednesday afternoon. He said he'd fitted the new oil sensor & sump pan, changed the oil & the filter but the OIL SENSOR WARNING message was still displayed on the dashboard when the ignition was started. Brett said he was very sorry but he couldn't clear the warning message & that it could be down to an electrical problem & would need further investigation or to get someone with VAGCOM to erase the oil sensor file. In other words I've paid £50.40 for diagnostic test & £160 for new oil sensor for NOTHING as the problem is still there. Had I know that this would be the case I would have gone to VW. The Mechanic spent 20 mins with the car plug in to diagnostic machine before even clearing any old faults he told me he thought it was my injectors even though the fault that was coming uo stated glowplug circuit fault told me i need a leak test and left. After booking it into a different garage it was confirmed the glow plugs needed replacing as the earlier fault code would have pointed at although the click mechanic mever mentioned that it could be as straight forward as replacing my glow plugs. What a waste of £50 didnt even get a diagnostic based on the error code that was read

After a lot of umming and ahhhhhing, I decided to pay for a pre-purchase car inspection to help give me some piece of mind. I am so glad that I did! The expert eye of the mechanic revealed issues I would never have seen or even thought
of to check. Although this was an additional expense on top of a purchase for a new car, it has saved me a lot of money in the long run. Certainly worth the investment. Will recommend to my family and friends if they're ever in a similar situation.

Glad I used this service it was nice to have no hassle. One thing not on the machincal side of things they never reset the dashboard telling you, you need a service.

Mechanic arrived within appointed time, especially worth noting there was an inch of snow on the roads! Mechanic quickly diagnosed the fault with 5-10 mins (damaged cell in battery - needs replacing).

Work was due on Wednesday but with snow fall, Brett called and cancelled, I was told to wait and see how the weather was going to be like on Thursday. But no further communication until I called this morning. Brett apologised for not being for not being in touch and that he was trying to catching up was the a back log of work that he wasn't able to complete because of the snow fall last week. Which I completely understand. Upon arrival for work on my car, he was polite, friendly, easy to talk and seem like an honest mechanic.

I am pleased with work he has done on my car. I haven't yet driven it, so I will see tomorrow.
