It was a really poor experience and first time using click mechanic. I am afraid it is likely to be my last. The initial promise of coming to work on the car at my home (or taking it away to service) was not upheld and I had to take it to the mechanics 40 minute drive away.
Once there I left the keys and was told it would be a couple of hours.
After a couple of hours I returned to be told it was just going in for the checks and it would be an hour.
I sat in the waiting room for 1 hour 40 minutes without any updates at all and no receptionist to ask. When finally I did see someone in reception they told me 10 minutes, which finally was about half an hour.
The checks were all fine, so I am happy with the service and MOT.
However a freshly cleaned car was left with crumbs in the dashboard and floor and I had to reverse the car through a very difficult driveway. I almost couldn't do it. No one offered help in getting the car to the road.
Without doubt the worst experience in a mechanics I have had, for what was a service and MOT.

Unfortunately we do not collect vehicles that are not within our geographical area. Your place of pick up fell out of this area. The car collection was perfect. I expect the work was done properly as it went from failed MOT to passed. Could have done better with the communication.

Ford Transit Custom Brake pads replacement - rear (all)

Work was fine. Communication is terrible. Was told van would be ready in an hour after i dropped off. Went back afrer 2 hrs and sat ther e for another 2.5 hrs while the did it.

Unfortunately our receptionist gave you an undertaking the job would take 1.5 hours from the time you drop the vehicle to us. This was a mistake and we apologise. The work was carried out very quickly and staff were very nice. My only complaint is that they charged me for new spark plugs even though I'd put new ones in the day before

thank you for your review Ben, very much appreciated. With regards to your comment - spark plugs. During our investigation our computer diagnostics stored error codes pertaining to an ignition fault which directs us to two possibilities, 1. spark plugs, 2 ignition coil. The Technician was not aware you had changed the plugs the day previous. As a goodwill gesture I agree (at no cost to you) to put your old plugs back in and reimburse you the cost of the spark plugs. Nissan Qashqai Clutch replacement

The job was given to a garage not an individual mobile mechanic. When I posted the job on ClickMechanic I'd assumed a mobile mechanic would come to my house and carry out the repair on the day.
I was very pleased to have my job accepted for the following day but it turned out the garage was 15 miles away and I had to arrange for a recovery service to take my car to them because it was not driveable.
Unfortunately the completing day and time slipped several times and I went from expecting the car to be repaired at my home on the day to collecting it from the garage 2 days later to actually picking it up 4 days later.
Having said that the garage appears to have done a good job and the car is running nicely so as along as that doesn't change I would use ClickMechanic and Plymouth Autocentre again.

The work that was carried out in the car was absolutely perfect, but I was very disappointed with how long it took. I paid for priority service through click mechanic and they didn’t come into the right at the end of the day to pick the car up and then it took over a week For the work to be done most of the days just waiting for part didn’t get much communication. A few messages on click mechanic asking for an update. Didn’t get a reply. Had to ring the company myself to get answers. I think it’s because the communication between the company and the click mechanic is very poor , I wouldn’t ever use it ever again I would go directly to the garage myself.

Small mix up where they attempted to arrange to pick the car up a week early but easily resolved within a few minutes!
