Not even 1 star for effort, turned up 4 and a half hours later, worked on the brakes in the dark. Then informed me that 3 of the brake callipers where seized, strange, hadn't had any problems braking at all. Quoted me a ridiculous amount of money to replace the callipers, £1500, for a maximum of 5 hours work. Got in touch with a local garage, quoted me a worse case scenario of £800, max. Apart from this cowboy, who also left my front brakes in a dangerous state, would I recommend, definitely not, would I recommend clickmecanic, definitely not, this is the third time and last time that I will use them. Hi Wayne. I’m sorry to hear that you are not happy with the price quoted on click mechanic of 1300£ for all 4 brake callipers with sliders and the front driver side brake pipe as it was damaged, everything recorded with pictures and videos, I’m not allowed to take jobs outside of the platform I’m afraid , as your local garages.
The price I told you is the price click mechanic quoted you. About the front brake pads I wasn’t able to fit the new pads as the brake callipers were completely seized and I couldn’t wind back the piston to fit them. This is why I fitted the old one and showed you and explained you everything.
About the arrival delay of 90 minutes was because of the parts been delivered so late to the store and heavy traffic on motorway. You’re confusing the whole process that took 5 hours, in total which is 3 hrs extra time that you haven’t been quoted for because all the suspension on your van was corroded and took 2.5 hrs longer than usual to replace all the brakes. At the time of the job you were happy with the quote and you never accepted it later. But this your choice, anyway, the price was given by click mechanic network, not by us, but the cheapest option is not always the best option if you are not prepared to pay twice for the same job.
