I wasn’t present at the inspection and communicated with the mechanic via text and a couple of phone calls. Unfortunately the garage wasn’t aware that the mechanic was due to call. I assumed that he would have liaised with the garage.

Picked car up and did work in good time, delivered back no problem. Full service and mot, completed with no problems and no advisories, no extra work required. Fast forward 6 weeks and my rear brakes, and calipers need fully changing because they have worn through to the metal.

Hi,
Sorry to here you have had an issue with your rear brakes. This sounds like your rear calipers have failed and worn away your pads. I can say for certain this would not have been the case on the service when we checked as if the brakes needed replacing this would have been extra income for ourselfs if you had us do the work. We also sub-contract out our MOT’s so thats 2 garages that had seen your brakes at the time and not just ourselfs so looks like the calipers have failed after the service.
