Note I've not had the car back yet due back in the morning so can't confirm if work has been carried out well yet. The overall experience became quite stressful due to Clickmechanic providing an initial quote of £951 to carry out the work. The mechanic called to advise that the estimate was incorrect and that Clickmechanic had priced incorrectly as the front shock absorbers needed to come direct from the dealer and would cost slightly more which I accepted. However the next day I received an email advising the total cost had increased to over £1600 and my credit card showed this as pending, I wrote to the mechanic who advised we wait till the morning to discuss. In the morning I advised the mechanic that prior to booking with Clickmechanic I was provided a quote by another mechanic to carry out the work for £1200. The mechanic carrying out the work then advised he would try bring down the cost but did confirm the cost of £1600 was incorrect and should have been £1400. Once the work was completed the mechanic then advised the cost and had managed to bring the cost down to under £1200 which I was happy with and grateful for. However what should have been a simple processes became very stressful. Sorry to say but I won't be using Clickmechanic again. I have to say the bad experience is down to Clickmechanic and not the mechanic who carried out the work, need to get the quotes for Mercedes cars more accurate in tge first place, to avoid this stress for customers. Communication was really good, run to say when they would arrive, rung to say when the work was done and when the car would be returned. A very easy experience
