Peugeot 207 Engine oil & filter replacement

I have booked oil change and asked for extra diagnostic of catalytic converter. Problem is that instead of investigating the exact cause for "catalytic converter below threshold error" he just read the codes and didn't even bother checking wiring at the sensor end to verify that it's not wiring or just bad sensor by spraying fuel into air intake to see if sensor read any data at all. Ironical, he attached paperwork to list what checks should be have been done!
In Summary they are Incompetent and Lazy. Diagnostic is not reading error code in 2 minutes but confirming and finding the exact fault by eliminating wiring and obvious damage issues.
When asked if he checked the wiring and sensors in question more detail he said "I didn't, as it would take too much time". So if you go for diagnostic he read error codes that takes 2 minutes and you can do it with OBD sensor for £20 from Amazon. It's just reading text from screen, but reading text is not diagnosing.

In our defence, you requested a diagnostic health check which is exactly what we provided.
We provided you with a full diagnostic print out, and in addition a detailed diagnosis of the two probable causes relating to the error codes contained in the report.
At no stage did you ask us to carry out any in depth & detailed investigation works. We would have quite happily undertaken these works and provided you with a quotation for the works required if you had requested this.
I feel there was a misunderstanding in exactly what work you requested us to carry out on this occasion.
A Diagnostic health check and investigation works are completely different tasks.
If you had asked us to investigate error codes that you were already aware of, we would have undertaken investigation works.
