Mechanic turned up on time, on a freezing day, the work was carried out swiftly. Thank you very much.

I paid over 900 pounds, i booked a diagnostic to ensure the right work was done and also booked a flywheel replacement and clutch replacement. The mechanic collected the car and called me shortly afyer to say the required work was as i had booked(flywheel amd clutch) it then took him 8 hours to remove the gearbox because "the bolts are tight" after the working day he confirmed that the work would not be complete that day as he had only just managed to remove the gear box. Strangely just and hour into the next working day the work was apparently complete and the car completely put back together. Shortly after confirming this the mechanic called and said i would also need to change the gear box. I asked why he did not pick this up in the diagnostic he said it was impossible to tell, bit somehow now he can tell without any furtjer diagnostic. It appears to me that he broke the gearbox in his efforts to remove it, which he denies. He offered to soirce a new part but after 2 days (and telling me to source it myself!) he appered to do nothing. Very professional, my car was booked in for a service and MOT.
The car needed extra work to pass the MOT,
This was carried out meaning I was only without my car for 24hrs
