Ford Galaxy Plug-in Diagnostic Inspection

Arrived on time, plugged car in to diagnose, then basically guessed a diagnosis… and tried to palm me off to someone on the phone who could do the work… just didn’t feel comfortable doing that and felt like I might never see the car again… was only here for about 15 mins and felt that £80+ was a bit of a rip off

Hi thanks for your slightly negative review .I’m just going to say that out of 2000 odd bookings since joining click mechanic - you’d be the one and only customer to say that I guessed what the problem was .
Even thou I’m no magician, and don’t always get it right - I do 99.9 % of the time in fact get it right , and I’m no mathematical genius - but these odds are pretty good .
In how much time I take makes no difference - be it 5 mins or a hour , the prognosis would not have changed .
Had the car not been parked up for 9 months with a complete flat battery- I could have given you a 100 % answer .
Ps a jump start normally cost more money and no additional cost were applied , thus I fail to see how you’ve been ripped off .
Nevertheless every review is appreciated no matter what and wish you well !!!

Ford Focus Wheel bearing replacement - rear (passenger side)
Second hand stub axle and additional labour to burn old bearing case from brake drum ( as discussed )

As a mechanic he was fine. As a time keeper... well let's say he didn't turn up on time.

Absolutely agree , there’s no excuses for being late and not contacting you .
But I will say this - even had I turned up at 8 am - your car would have not been repaired for several days , but because I was so late that day I went above and beyond to get you back on the road with a 90 mile round trip to locate parts necessary and by using used parts which I never do ( but had to because the part you needed was on back order - which means at the very least several days/weeks )
And I managed to get the parts and return at a very late , dark , rainy and cold part of the night to make up for being late
I really fail to see how any one could improve on what I achieved, nevertheless I appreciate your comments even if a little negative and apologies for the lateness that day ,
I wish you well and hope you still continue to use click mechanic.

Turned up exactly on time, which is good because my work diary is very specific. Polite, professional and courteous, very pleased.
I’d like to say that my workmanship is second to none and my van carries a extensive range of tools and the latest diagnostic equipment, needless to say that it is a van and there are limitations to what I can carry .
I’d also like to say that you will be happy with any work I carry out , your car will be protected from damage and with time permitting I’ll also wash your car before I leave , ( will need water and power)
