“The mechanic - Maz - who inspected the car in Sheffield for me this morning was absolutely first class. He went over and above what I could have expected from this type of vehicle inspection. - Not only did he make a particularly close examination of an aspect of the car which I was worried about, but he also - in speaking to the seller - got him to agree to do a full service of the car for me (as it only had sketchy service history) and also get a new MOT certificate for it, too. (Even though it had a fairly lengthy MOT period already.)
Owing to Maz's input, I was reassured enough to be able to agree to definitely purchase the car without seeing it myself first (precluding other buyers snapping it up in the interim). And it also meant that I did not have to make a late 2 hour (each way) trip to Sheffield today myself, to view the car as soon as I could (after some painful dental work this morning). Now I can relax and just collect the car at my leisure, next week, after the full service and MOT has been done.
I will definitely use Click again - and recommend it to friends, family and colleagues, etc.
However, I should also like to have my very favourable comments about Maz himself, placed on his company record. He was a wonderful ambassador for your company today and I trust that this will be noted by - or pointed out to - the Click management team.”

I plan to buy a used Rover - do I need a pre-purchase inspection?

A pre-purchase inspection done by an experienced mechanic on the Rover you are considering buying spares you the headache and saves the time of checking the vehicle over yourself. The mechanics on our network know what signs to lookout for, potentially helping you avoid future large repair bills.

What happens during a pre-purchase inspection on Rover?

If you book a pre-purchase inspection with ClickMechanic, a vetted mechanic who carries out inspections on Rover will inspect the car you intend to purchase. Depending on the level of inspection booked (basic, standard or premium), the mechanic will spend up to 3 hours assessing the condition of the vehicle.

When inspecting a used Rover, mechanics check the interior, lights, fluid levels, brakes and suspension, chassis and car underside (subject to service level booked). I have booked a used Rover inspection - do I have to be present?

No, there is no need for you to be present during the inspection. Our pre-purchase inspection service is popular with customers wanting to have a professional assessment of a used car they are purchasing e.g. while they are abroad.

You will receive a report about the condition of the car after the inspection is complete and if you wish you will be able to discuss with the mechanic over the phone afterwards (depending on level of service booked).

Does the Rover pre-purchase inspection come with a warranty?

Our pre-purchase inspections of used Rover vehicles do not come with a warranty. The main purpose of inspecting a used Rover before the sale is to give you an honest and true reflection of the state of the vehicle at the time of inspection.

Can I book a follow up appointment for my Rover?

Following your used Rover car inspection, if you decided to purchase the Rover we recommend having it serviced by one of the mechanics on our network. That way you can ensure you are off to a good start and your car is ready for your future journeys together.
