“The garage was very good, picked the car up on time, kept me informed of the work required and was very concerned that he would not be able to get the car back the same day. This was not a problem to me as I was not in a rush to get my car. Only small blip I was charged £20 for the collection and I had not asked for a specific time for collection. “I had my air conditioning recharged and a general check done. I was happy with this. I was then given a quote for the work that needed doing. I needed replacement wipers front and rear, cost approx £40 to supply and fit, that seemed reasonable. However, my horn wasn't working, I was quoted that it would need 0.9 hours to investigate at a cost of approx £60.
Instead, I went to Halfords and bought a new fuse for about 50p which I fitted myself in a couple of minutes. The horn then worked perfectly.
It would have been nice if the mechanic had offered to try this himself, there and then.”
