“Kami arrived on time (phoned to say he was on his way), was extremely courteous and explained what he was going to do. Tested the old glow plug to make sure it needed changing and, gave me a reduction on the cost as he did not have to change them all. He also gave me some advice on how to maintain my car's engine which I have done and has proven excellent. “Yes, very happy. I booked them because I didn't trust myself to remove glowplugs, as they are reputed to be delicate. The first one turned out to be already sheared off (not while I have had the car), the second one was stiff so he decided not to overstress it, it is still in. The third and fourth he removed and replaced. Very pleased that they had the experience to know the torque that was safe to apply. On completion of the job, the fault code cleared (though we know at least one of the glow plugs is not working), which means the car will run normally, not in "limp" mode.”

“Marley was very friendly and helpful and he successfully fixed my car. We had a couple of unexpected events which he dealt with very calmly and professionally. The task was to replace all 4 glow plugs in my diesel VW Passat's engine. First issue: one of the glow plugs was a special type with an integrated pressure sensor and Marley did not have one with him (this was not his fault; the booking notes did not specify this). So Marley explained the situation to me, phoned around to find a local stockist (on a Sunday afternoon) and went to get the right item there and then. But after he returned and fitted the plugs, there was a second issue: the car engine would not start. This seemed more serious. Marley explained that he could not diagnose the issue immediately and we talked through what it might mean. He arranged for my car to be collected and taken to his garage where he could diagnose the issue properly. With this done, he was able to fix it and I had my car back and in perfect working order less than 24 hours later. Throughout this time Marley was great at keeping me updated on the progress.”
